Mumbai: Baba Siddique, senior leader of the Ajit Pawar -led Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), was shot dead in Mumbai on Saturday evening by unidentified persons. He was shot multiple times in Mumbai's Bandra east.

NCP leader Baba Siddiqui was shot dead by unidentified persons in Mumbai's Bandra East on Saturday evening. The former state minister was rushed to the Lilavati Hospital but could not be saved. The firing that took place outside his MLA son Zeeshan Siddiqui's office near Colgate ground in Nirmal Nagar.

Baba Siddique, a former Maharashtra minister and member of the Ajit Pawar faction of the Nationalist Congress Party, passed away after he was shot in Bandra, Mumbai.
