Chandrakar is expected to be either extradited or deported to India over the next few days after he was formally placed under arrest in Dubai recently.

Sourabh Chandrakar - a primary accused in the Rs 5,000-crore Mahdev app betting case - will be extradited from the UAE and brought to India within a week, sources told NDTV Friday.

UAE authorities officially informed their counterparts in the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) yesterday about Chandrakar's arrest.
