Residents in a Granite Bay neighborhood have been told to shelter in place as authorities investigate suspicious circumstances at a home Monday morning.

A man was detained Monday in Granite Bay after deputies began investigating “suspicious circumstances” that prompted area residents to shelter-in-place, according to a Placer County Sheriff’s Office news release.

Deputies were called just after 8 a.m. to Lou Place and Oak Leaf Way after a caller reported “suspicious circumstances.”
