Insomniac Games recently revealed that Spider-Man 2 is coming to PC, and while this announcement was exciting, it came with some disappointing news.

This weekend, Sony finally confirmed that one of PlayStation 5's best-selling exclusives, Marvel's Spider-Man 2, will be coming to PC, but those interested will have to meet a requirement that many PC gamers dislike.

Spider-Man 2 is just the latest in a big PC push from Sony, which also includes a PC overlay that launched in June alongside Ghost of Tsushima ’s PC port. Spider-Man 2 is also the fastest a major PS5 game has been ported so far, with the PC version coming less than two years after its original launch.

The wait for Spider-Man 2 on PC is almost over. The PlayStation 5 exclusive about Peter Parker’s showdown with Venom arrives on Steam in January of next year. Unfortunately, it will still require a PSN login.
