Long before Beats by Dre introduces its expected update to the Powerbeats Pro, the original version has disappeared from Apple's digital store shelves.

Apple at some point in the past week or so discontinued the Powerbeats Pro, around five and a half years after the wireless earbuds launched.

The action precedes the planned Powerbeats Pro 2 release, which is expected to take off anytime next year. Last month, Beats by Dre dropped a teaser on X, suggesting that the next model would feature spatial and adaptive audio capabilities,
